The Bauhaus art movement emphasized creating harmony between shape and function. Functional Formation is a five piece collection for Pyer Moss Spring/Summer 2022. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, each design combines shape and color to create unique streetwear inspired silhouettes. This unisex collection incorporates aspects of construction though basic formational elements such as shape, negative space, and line details. Adhering to the foundations of the Bauhaus movement, the collection is created with a primary color scheme of red, yellow, and blue. The collection consists of five designs: short dress (construction), cropped top and pant set (foundation), long sleeve shirt and skirt (structure), overalls (framing), and top and short set (finishes).
